This group of children, aged 8-11 years, has 1-to-1 helpers. Kate Barker leads it for the first time. She has helped on Afasic activity weeks for many years and been a team leader on Bowles week. The first two days will be in Ashtead from 10am – 4pm. They are a gettingto-know-you time for all, enabling children to feel confident enough to go away from parents overnight for perhaps the first time. The group plans to go to High Ashurst Outdoor Education Centre from Wednesday to Friday, staying two nights. Among the activities on-site, there are climbing, archery, bush craft, abseiling and challenge courses. The specific activities for our group are not yet confirmed. They will depart on Wednesday after lunch and return on Friday afternoon.
